Photography

One of my hobbies is photography. Unfortunately, I haven't been taking many photographs for fun these days, so I only have pictures from a couple of years ago.

I use a fairly beginner camera, however, for a used price of $500 I'm in love with it. I use an Olympus E-Volt 500, with the standard Zuiko 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 and 40-150mm F4.0-5.6. All of the following photographs were taken with this camera.

I took pictures of: the Mill Avenue Bridge in Tempe, Phoenix from Camelback Mountain and the sights from Sky Harbor's parking structures. The top of the parking structures is actually one of my favorite places in the valley when I need to get away and think. The last picture is of the Estrella Mountains behind Phoenix International Raceway. I particularly liked how the rain clouds (of which we RARELY get to see) were rolling over the top of the mountains.

I was even paid to take some photographs for a tattoo shop's marketing campaign. I particularly liked photographing the people; people are what life is all about.

Sometimes, goofing around with the camera is more enjoyable than having a specific goal.

When I come back from Europe this summer, I will have PLENTY of photos to add.
